Former vice president Joe Biden enjoyed a victory in South Carolina recently, and his stock continues to rise.
Furthermore, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, and Tom Steyer are out of the presidential race. So, Biden appears to be in better shape.
But wait — America hasn’t forgotten about the Burisma Holdings issue regarding Hunter Biden.
…and neither has the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
Chairman Sen. Ron Johnson is ready to issue the group’s first subpoena regarding the Ukraine investigation.
As a result, this news could once again put Joe in a tough spot. After all, it’s hard to run for President when your son has questionable ties to an overseas corporation.
Via The Daily Caller:
Sen. Ron Johnson … is preparing to issue the panel’s first subpoena as part of an investigation into Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy company linked to Hunter Biden…
Justice might be coming for the Bidens!
Sen. Johnson is a Republican from Wisconsin, and he wants to get the ball rolling.
First up is a subpoena for Andrii Telizhenko, a former Ukrainian embassy official.
Talizhenko apparently gave the committee some documents, but they can’t be used without a subpoena due to a non-disclosure agreement.
This is why Johnson needs to make such a move. As he wrote in a letter to Democratic Senator Gary Peters:
He cannot provide this responsible information unless he is compelled to do so by subpoena.
Looks like the wheels are finally starting to turn.
Republicans have been going after the Bidens for months now. They’re trying to determine if Hunter Biden used his father’s position as VP to help his company, Burisma.
Furthermore, rumors abound concerning Burisma’s possible corruption.
This is bad timing for Joe Biden. The presidential race is heating up, and his reputation could take another hit due to this investigation.
Hunter has been a thorn in dad’s side for some time already, it seems. And it might only get worse…
