All eyes were on the special election in Pennsylvania’s 18^th Congressional district.

The media was hoping the Democrats would pull off a shocking upset and send another signal that a blue wave was ready to sweep across America this November.

But on election night, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats were left speechless.

Democrat Conor Lamb tried to con voters into thinking he was a conservative.

He lied about being pro-life and pro-gun despite the fact that he supports abortion on demand at any time during a pregnancy and backs a national gun registration database scheme.

The final poll showed him leading Rick Saccone by six points.

But when the votes came in, no one could determine a winner.

Lamb was leading Saccone by 641 votes with 3,200 absentee ballots left to count.

Breitbart reports:

“To pull out the victory, Saccone will need to get a little over 60 percent of these ballots.

The absentee ballots will be counted and reported in these three counties between 11:15 p.m. eastern and an undetermined time on Wednesday morning.

“It’s probably going to take us several hours,” to count, the election director in Washington County told CNN at 11:15 p.m. eastern.

The Westmoreland County election director told CNN their votes will be counted and reported around midnight.

“I would rather be in Conor Lamb’s shoes right now than Rick Saccone’s,” former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), who once represented this district in the House of Representatives, told CNN.”

No matter who wins, members of the media were puffing up the result as a rebuke of Donald Trump.

The district’s partisan index rating is R +11.

That means the district’s partisan lean is 11 points more Republican than the nation as a whole.

And Donald Trump won it by 20 points in 2016.

But the results of this election, although still undetermined, shows that Democrats are energized and ready to turnout in massive numbers in 2018.

Republicans must match that energy if they hope to hold the House or gain seats in the Senate.

If the Democrats win one or both houses of Congress, experts predict they will begin the impeachment process.

The only way to stop that is for Republicans to equal their enthusiasm this November.
