Democrats have blamed everything except Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s failed policies for their disastrous defeat in the November election.

So-called “fake news” is at the top of the left’s list.

But one TV host obliterated Hillary Clinton’s lie that “fake” news was to blame for her defeat.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough ripped a speech Clinton recently gave where she called for a crackdown on “fake” news.

He thought it was ridiculous Hillary was blaming articles shared on Facebook for her loss.

“Scarborough asked Huffington Post editor Sam Stein about his thoughts on Clinton’s post-election speech, in which she argued that fake news had “real-world consequences.” While ostensibly the speech about the recent attack on a D.C. pizzeria, the panel of Morning Joe argued it was intended to play into the popular perception that fake news cost her the election.

“I don’t think fake news contributed to her loss. I’m not saying that,” Stein said.

“That’s what she’s suggesting,” Scarborough pointed out.

“I know, and I think that’s wrong. It played a role in the conversation of the election, I don’t think that’s disputable. But it is a big problem, right? It’s huge in our industry,” Stein continued.

“When you look at this ‘fake news,’ and you see what happened up at Harvard and you hear everybody writing articles saying millennials cost Hillary Clinton the election, and dogs with three legs cost Hillary Clinton the election, and comets passing in the night– Hillary Clinton cost Hillary Clinton the election.” Scarborough said. “Hillary Clinton’s campaign staff cost Hillary Clinton the election.”

“I don’t think people are ready to hear that, Joe,” cautioned his co-host Mika Brzezinski.

“Listen, if you care about Democrats digging out of the hole that they have put themselves in now, you’ve got to ask yourself; what have Democrats done to so offend Americans that they only have 11 governorships, they’ve lost control of the Senate, they’ve lost control of the House, they lost 900 legislative seats over the past six years?” he continued.

“It wasn’t fake news,” Scarborough concluded. “It was something much, much bigger.”

Clinton also blasted “fake” news at the retirement event for Senator Harry Reid.

CNN reports:

“This is not about politics or partisanship. Lives are at risk, lives of ordinary people just trying to go about their days to do their jobs, contribute to their communities,” Clinton said. “It is a danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly.”

Clinton backed “bipartisan legislation” that looks to give Congress more power to respond to “foreign propaganda.” an apparent reference to Russia’s role in funding some of the fake news, according to two studies, with the goal of influencing US politics.

“It is imperative that leaders in both the private and public sector step up to protect our democracy and innocent lives,” Clinton said.”

“Fake” news has become a catch-all term for any news content which the liberal media dislikes.

But trust in so-called “mainstream” media outlets is at an all-time low.

And with good reason.

The liberal media spent 18 months lying to their audience about the Presidential campaign by claiming Donald Trump couldn’t win.

A large portion of the audience recognized the obvious partisanship of the so-called “mainstream” media and turned instead to alternative news outlets.

Faced with diminishing power, the media has tried to discredit non-left-wing news outlets by branding them as “fake”.

Hillary Clinton is just the latest leftist to demand government censorship of the news.

But Joe Scarborough disagrees and has destroyed her obvious lie.
