Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump wasted no time inserting himself into CNN’s Democratic debate from the Wynn hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tuesday.

The billionaire, who predicted a “boring two hours,” immediately took issue with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s sudden aversion to President Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, or TPP.

Clinton told moderator Anderson Cooper her support for Obama’s deal with Japan and 10 other countries bordering the Pacific was contingent upon the final deal being a job-creator for Americans.

“The trade deal is a disaster, she was always for it!” Trump tweeted, which was immediately shared by 1,400 people.

Trump was noticeably quiet in the first hour of Tuesday’s debate. The vast majority of his activity on the social media site consisted of re-tweets saying how boring Clinton, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee were on stage.

“All are very scripted and rehearsed, two (at least) should not be on the stage,” Trump tweeted. “The hardest thing Clinton has to do is defend her bad decision making including Iraq vote, e-mails etc. Sorry, there is no STAR on the stage tonight!”

The Republican’s most animated tweets came in response to questions on immigration reform and the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Sanders said only black lives matter – wow! Hillary did not answer question!” Trump tweeted.

Soon afterward he added, “Notice that illegal immigrants will be given Obamacare and free college tuition but nothing has been mentioned about our VETERANS #DemDebate.”

Trump’s decision to offer commentary on CNN’s debate caused almost as much buzz as the event. The social media monitoring website Topsy reported “Donald Trump” was searched 60,000 times in 24 hours compared to 92,000 times for the hashtag #DemDebate.
